Nigel Sanderson is a Director at Men’s Minds Matter, a Community Interest Company dedicated to tackling male suicide, bringing a unique perspective with his lived experience of suicide.

At 49 years old, Nigel is a loving father to a son and step-daughter, with a new daughter on the way. Passionate about the outdoors, Nigel finds solace and inspiration in surfing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and running.

Nigel's personal journey with clinical depression led him through very challenging times, including instances of being reported missing and one suicide attempt. He still has his struggles, but he now understands them, and himself.

As a Director at Men’s Minds Matter, Nigel works to promote mental health awareness and prevent suicide in men and boys. Currently undergoing training to become a qualified counsellor, Nigel also collaborates with businesses and charities to advocate for the Men’s Minds Matter model, aiming to make a meaningful impact and offer support to those in need.
