Science of Social Connection

As humans, we are wired to connect with others. Thanks to technology, never have we been so connected and yet never has our society been suffering so much from loneliness.

Prioritising human connection in our social and professional life is central to our physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

This workshop explains how our connection with others (social and professional) are critical to our wellbeing and shares practical strategies to nurture a real sense of connectedness in this new hybrid world where we are so often physically or emotionally isolated from one another.

We will acknowledge the barriers and traps we are facing in the 21st century and provide solutions to overcome these obstacles.

Participants will learn tangible strategies to benefit from every interaction they have throughout the day and to make the most out of their existing connections by making them more qualitative, enjoyable and meaningful. We will explore the concepts of presence versus making time, kindness & compassion and how we can build more meaningful relationships at work.

Participants will leave with a plan of action and a 10 day challenge to improve the way they engage with the world around them and get all the physical and mental health benefits of "good quality" social connections.
