Embracing Difference

We are naturally inclined to seek out things that feel familiar to us. This is an unconscious bias that, when we bring attention to, we can begin to naturally shift and change to our advantage. Learning a few simple and straightforward strategies to address this helps to open us up to the diverse world around us.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

In this workshop, we'll delve into the neuroscience of neuroplasticity (our innate ability of the mind to change and grow) and the human aspect of social connection, understanding their roles in enhancing mental health and overall well-being. We'll discuss why these concepts are crucial in our fast-paced world and explore practical strategies to embrace differences and cultivate resilience.

As we learn to operate in a more open and curious way, we find ourselves becoming more resilient, happier, and more fulfilled versions of ourselves.

We’ll look, in particular, at fostering deep curiosity in our day to day experience - doing so will keep us learning and growing and engaged with the magic of life.
