Anti-desk Yoga

 

Experiencing aches, pains and strains whilst working at our desk, not only affects our physical body, it also drains our energy, and ultimately our ability to work well. Supporting ourselves whilst we work, and understanding how we can work with our body to improve things, is essential for our wellbeing.


Overview

 

Suitable for all staff

During this accessible yoga class, tailored for desk workers, we’ll learn basic alignment techniques for good desk posture, and how this not only supports us at work, it transitions into every day life standing and sitting posture.

We’ll look at what it really means to sit well, how it feels in our body, and ways to be mindful whilst working.

We’ll learn about the importance of this work as a preventative measure for future injuries, as well as management and immediate relief from current aches, pains and strains. The side effect of this work is feeling more energised!

Bad backs, neck and shoulder problems are welcome to attend.
