Break Free from Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal, helpful brain response to protect us and motivate us to change our course of action to avoid a threat. It is normal to feel anxious sometimes and in certain circumstances. But when it gets out of hand, anxiety can take a real toll on people's lives, physically, emotionally and mentally.

Cutting-edge research in cognitive neuroscience is now suggesting that it is possible to break-free from anxiety by working with the body, the brain and the mind. Anxiety can effectively be managed and dialled back down to normal levels through intentional easy daily activities and practices.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

This workshop takes a scientific, practical and very empowering perspective on the anxiety solution.

We will look at what anxiety truly is and understand its correlations with stress, how and why it is triggered by the brain and how it impacts our body, our mindset, our emotions and even our relationships with others.

Participants will understand the unhelpful mental behaviours that nourish anxiety and learn to identify the warning signs so that they can take action before they enter an unmanageable vicious cycle.

Most importantly, they will understand that they have the power to change the automatic mechanisms that trigger and nourish anxiety and will learn a set of easy and practical techniques to dial down anxiety in the moment and also to regulate their nervous system so that it slows down the general anxiety response.

Participants will leave the session, feeling uplifted and optimistic with a set of tools to regulate anxiety and go back to living their life more fully.

What people say

Wow, the information Steph presented was really informative and broken down to be easily understood. As someone who suffers with social anxiety I’ve tried to read so many books on neuroscience and most of them are just very hard to understand. But Steph has explained it so easily, how my anxiety is created and most importantly that I can do something about it.
