Building Personal Resilience
Resilience is something that we can build and must maintain in order to maximise performance and productivity, and take care of mental and physical health.
Individuals who are resilient are better able to deal with stress, adapt to change, work with greater focus and build stronger relationships with colleagues and clients.
Overview
Suitable for all staff
This workshop provides an energising introduction to resilience from a scientific and highly practical perspective.
We will cover latest thinking in this area, explain what resilience is and outline the factors which can help to build it or erode it. The session will explore the relationship between resilience, wellbeing and performance and consider the numerous advantages that a diverse set of resilience skills can offer.
Participants will have a chance to consider their current levels of resilience and develop a greater awareness of why there are differences between us. They will become familiar with the psychological concepts underpinning resilience, and be introduced to a range of evidence-based skills which will help anyone develop greater resilience.
As a build on this introductory workshop, we have further workshops that delve deeper into aspects of resilience including change, managing stress, connection with others and cultivating a positive mindset.
