Enrich Your Sleep Naturally

Sleep is one of our principal pillars of health and yet for many of us, it remains illusive. This workshop explores the role of nutrition in sleep, how the food and drink choices we make can inhibit sleep, or conversely help to support good sleep.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

This workshop starts by emphasising the health benefits of sleep and highlights the common but under-recognised causes of sleep deprivation.

The workshop then explores the circadian rhythm – what is it and why is it important? It also looks at the four stages of sleep and sleep cycles to provide an understanding of the need for deep restorative sleep.

The workshop then moves on to explore how to optimise sleep through nutrition, both the quality and quantity. It shares dietary advice including nutrients and herbs to help support deep and restorative sleep. Finally the workshop considers lifestyle measures to help get you sleepy and keep you sleeping!

Participants will leave with a toolkit of strategies to promote better sleep through nutrition.
