Beat the Desk - Healthy Sitting Habits

The average persons sits for 9 hours a day. That’s 55% of their waking hours. With this in mind it stands to reason that the way we sit may be having some impact on our musculoskeletal system.

Fortunately, it’s possible to partially counteract the effects of sitting at work with regular exercise in your spare time, and adjustments to how you sit and set up your work station.

Suitable for all staff

This workshop looks at posture and discusses what we can do to optimise posture at work.

We evaluate the latest health literature to provide a clinical insight into why we get neck and back pain from poor posture and how we can all take steps to alleviate these symptoms.
