Neurodiversity Awareness for Managers

Neurodiversity has huge implications (and benefits) for employee wellbeing, performance and management. We can all hold unconscious biases which may impact our beliefs and attitudes towards individuals in our team, leading to challenges. By understanding more about neurodiversity we can become more inclusive and effective in our management and ultimately enhance the overall wellbeing and performance of the team.

Overview

Suitable for Managers

In this workshop we provide a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and its impact in the workplace, exploring the benefits of being neurodiversity-aware, regardless of direct reports’ disclosure. We take a look at some of the common challenges faced at work and the characteristics you might notice, including sensory issues, communication differences and executive function.

We explain how to identify and leverage neurodivergent strengths and adapting performance management strategies accordingly. We help to reframe common assumptions and misunderstandings and diiscuss how to leverage strengths and accommodate diverse cognitive profiles effectively.

Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of neurodiversity, with insights that support inclusive, effective management.
