Optimising Your Future Health

Not all health conditions are preventable, however there is much we can do to proactively take good care of our health and wellbeing to mitigate against long-term risks to our health.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

This workshop, delivered by a leading medical doctor, takes a look at the lifestyle factors including diet, exercise and alcohol consumption, that have a huge impact on our overall health and risk for disease.

We share 5 top tips to enhance nutrition and explain the crucial role of exercise, including what type and how much is advisable. We also look at alcohol: how it affects your health and sleep.

The workshop also explores the role and benefits of further proactive steps we can take to take care of our health. This includes a review of supplements, what the evidence is and what you should be taking. We also explore screening for various different health conditions, explaining the merits of this.

Finally the workshop explains how to optimise the health of your heart and circulation, looking at blood pressure and cholesterol, and shares why it is so important to pay attention to these metrics.

Participants will leave the workshop inspired and motivated with the knowledge and skills to optimise their future health.
