Overview

Suitable for all staff

This workshop is designed to alert attendees to the impact of our current working conditions, and provide practical techniques to support individuals in their day to day working lives. This introductory session will start the journey towards helping people learn how to maintain a feeling of control, clarity and positivity even in the face of intimidating, overwhelming lists of tasks.

The workshop looks at the fragmentation of the working day and why our current working practises are harmful to doing exceptional work. It explores the myth of multitasking and the impact that constant interruptions and connectivity has on our minds and bodies.

The workshop moves on to share techniques to make work better. This includes moving from time management to attention management and carving out periods to do valuable, motivating work. It also looks at prioritising tasks in order to add value, feel good and not get lost in the whirlwind of the inbox.

Whilst we acknowledge that long-term behavioural change is required, this session will provide the first step on a journey towards helping people become better, faster and smarter in a healthy, human and sustainable way.

For interest, this introductory session can lead to a more in-depth six module training series.
