Understanding Financial Wellbeing

Financial pressure has a direct impact on mental wellbeing and performance. One in four workers are currently losing sleep over their finances, resulting in poor concentration and a huge impact on productivity and absenteeism.

Overview

Suitable for all staff

Our introductory workshop provides an alternative to prescriptive and formal financial advice, seeking to bridge the engagement gap between people and the financial education and support that they.

We take a psychological focus (our relationship with money, our money scripts, money taboo) providing an overview of what financial wellbeing is, why it's important and how it links to our wider wellbeing.

The workshop provides the practical skills of how to have honest conversations about money, exploring individual attitudes to money and some of the myths and taboos that exist.

The workshop also takes a look at the positive financial wellbeing behaviours that we would all benefit from adopting, including learning how to create and live with a budget. We also share practical tools for managing worries associated with money or debt.

Finally the workshop shares how we can support each other through periods of increased financial pressure.
